If you’re flying to Adelaide from interstate or overseas, enjoy the convenience of arriving at your hotel minutes after you leave the airport. As a walkable city, you have little need for transportation once you’ve arrived – all destinations can be reached easily on-foot, or take advantage of Adelaide’s extensive public transport network, including free tram travel within the city centre.
From the airport
Adelaide Airport is located just seven kilometres from the city centre, and services direct national and international flights daily. Adelaide welcomes over 600 national flights per week from all major cities and regional centres around Australia. Globally, Adelaide has direct one-stop connections to more than 300 destinations.
Public transport
Adelaide has an extensive public transport system of buses, trains and trams, operated by Adelaide Metro. The tram is free to travel on within the city centre, with the closest tram stop conveniently located a two-minute walk from the Centre, in front of the historic Adelaide Railway Station.
Taxi, ridesharing & car hire
If you’re planning to spend your stay in the city, you’ll best experience Adelaide walking or booking short car rides. Taxis can be booked for pick-up or drop-off at Adelaide Convention Centre, with a taxi rank located right in front of the Centre’s main entrance off North Terrace.
